Few courses in the British Isles carry quite the same breezy, end-of-the-world atmosphere as La Moye. Perched on the southwestern tip of Jersey above St. Ouen's Bay, the course occupies high dune land where the Atlantic horizon stretches uninterrupted and the wind is rarely absent. Founded in 1902, it is one of the Channel Islands' oldest and most celebrated clubs, and its links-influenced layout — shaped by gorse-clad dunes and firm, fast turf — rewards creative shot-making and punishes anything too ambitious into the prevailing westerly.
La Moye has long served as Jersey's flagship competition venue, hosting the Jersey Open on multiple occasions and producing some of the island's finest playing talent. The back nine, tumbling closer to the clifftops, delivers some of the most visually dramatic golf in the region, with sea views that make even a bogey feel forgivable.
Jersey itself is a place of distinct character — culturally Anglo-French, mild by British standards, and fiercely proud of its autonomy. Getting there requires a short flight or ferry, which only adds to the sense that a round at La Moye is a proper destination, not simply a casual outing.
