Kullo Golf sits on the southwestern Finnish coast in Kulloonkylä, a small rural community in the Porvoo area of Uusimaa — a region where farmland, forest, and archipelago shoreline define the landscape in roughly equal measure. The club occupies terrain typical of this stretch of the Finnish coast: gently rolling ground shaped by glacial activity, threaded with stands of pine and birch, and subject to the kind of clear Baltic light that makes summer rounds feel almost otherworldly, particularly during the long evenings of June and July when twilight barely arrives.
The course is a mid-sized members' club serving the local golf community east of Helsinki, drawing players from both Porvoo and the broader capital region. That relatively short drive from a major urban center means it functions as a genuine recreational retreat — somewhere regulars return week after week rather than a destination layout chasing rankings attention.
Uusimaa has a quiet but well-established golf culture, and a club like Kullo fits squarely within it: earnest, community-rooted, and shaped by the rhythms of a short but intensely enjoyed Scandinavian season.
