Snowflake Golf Course

Snowflake, Arizona sits on the Colorado Plateau at roughly 5,600 feet of elevation, in the high desert country of Navajo County where the air is thin, the sky enormous, and the landscape nothing like the saguaro-and-sand image most people carry of Arizona golf. The town itself was founded in 1878 by Mormon settlers — its name a blend of two pioneer surnames, Snow and Flake — and that pioneer spirit of making something substantial out of hard country carries through to the community's relationship with this course.
