Ängelholm sits at the northern edge of Skåne, Sweden's southernmost province, where the coastal plain opens up between the Söderåsen ridge and the Bjäre peninsula — gently rolling farmland, beech forests, and a shoreline that keeps the climate mild and the growing season long. It's a region with genuine golfing density; Skåne has more courses per capita than anywhere else in Scandinavia, and the northwest corner of the province is particularly well stocked with everything from links-influenced layouts to parkland tracks.
Crownwood Club is listed here as under construction, which means the course exists in potential rather than in play. That designation — "under byggnation" in Swedish — tells you this is a project still taking shape, and course details like routing, architect, and character haven't been established in any public record available yet.
What the address does promise is a setting with real promise. Land in this part of Skåne tends to offer natural contour, mature tree cover, and enough seasonal variety to reward a well-conceived design. Worth watching when it opens.
