Few golf clubs carry Edinburgh's layered history quite like Mortonhall, which traces its roots to 1892 and occupies the southern fringes of the city on the slopes of the Braid Hills. The course was redesigned by James Braid — 5-time Open Champion and one of Scotland's most prolific golf architects — whose fingerprints are still felt across the layout today. It sits within striking distance of the Pentland Hills, and the elevation changes across the property give the course a genuine sense of drama that flat parkland simply cannot replicate.
