DCC Beachwood Golf Course

Few courses in South Africa carry the institutional weight of Beachwood, home to the Durban Country Club — one of the oldest and most storied golf clubs on the continent. Founded in the early 20th century, DCC has long occupied a special place in South African golf, and the Beachwood layout reflects that heritage: a mature, exacting course shaped by decades of refinement rather than dramatic modern intervention.

Beachwood plays through the coastal flatlands north of central Durban, where the Indian Ocean's influence is ever-present. The course is routed through indigenous coastal bush and tall trees that narrow fairways and reward precision over power.
