Few golf clubs anywhere in Japan carry the historical weight of Kobe Country Club. Founded in 1903 by British expatriates living in the port city of Kobe, it is one of the oldest golf clubs in Japan and a foundational institution in the country's golfing history — predating nearly every other course in the nation. The club was originally established in the Rokkō mountains and has deep roots in the foreign merchant community that made Kobe one of Meiji-era Japan's great cosmopolitan cities.

Today the club operates in Nishi Ward, on the quieter western edge of Kobe where the urban density gives way to gentler hills and open countryside. The Harima and Osaka Bay regions frame the horizon, and the course plays through mature, characterful terrain that reflects more than a century of careful stewardship.

As a long-established private members' club, Kobe CC offers a round steeped in tradition rather than spectacle. The atmosphere is deliberate and understated — the kind of place where the history beneath your feet is as present as the course in front of you.
