Summit Point Golf & Residential Estates sits on the volcanic highlands of Batangas province, where the terrain rises dramatically above the flatlands of southern Luzon. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in the late 1990s, the course takes full advantage of its elevated setting — fairways tumble and climb across contoured land shaped by ancient geological activity, with Taal Volcano visible on clear days from several vantage points. That backdrop alone makes it one of the more visually striking rounds available within a few hours of Metro Manila.
The layout plays firm and demanding, rewarding ball-strikers who can manage elevation changes and the wind that moves freely across the exposed ridgelines. The residential development surrounding the course gives it a manicured, resort-like atmosphere, though the golf itself has enough character and bite to satisfy serious players making the drive down the South Luzon Expressway from the capital.
Lipa City has grown into one of Batangas' most active urban centers, blending agricultural heritage with modern development, and Summit Point reflects that ambition — a course built to impress both residents and destination golfers seeking something above the ordinary in Philippine golf.
