Few courses in Europe carry the pedigree of Las Brisas. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed it in 1968, and it quickly earned a reputation as one of the finest layouts on the Costa del Sol — serious enough to host the Spanish Open on multiple occasions and a World Cup of Golf that brought the tournament's biggest names to Andalusia. The course winds through a valley in the Nueva Andalucía golf corridor, a stretch of land behind Marbella that somehow concentrates more quality golf per square mile than almost anywhere on the continent.
The design is classic Trent Jones: generous fairways framed by mature pines and eucalyptus, strategically placed water hazards that demand precise approach play, and large, contoured greens that reward patience over aggression. The mountain backdrop of La Concha adds a dramatic visual dimension that few courses anywhere can match.
Las Brisas sits within the Real Club designation — a members' club with genuine history — but it welcomes visiting golfers, and playing here feels like a proper occasion rather than just another Costa del Sol round.
