Few resort golf destinations in Florida carry the tournament pedigree that Innisbrook does. The property's Copperhead Course has served as the permanent home of the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship, making it one of the rare resort tracks in America where everyday golfers can play the same layout the pros do — tree-lined corridors, elevation changes, and all. Designed by Larry Packard, Copperhead plays nothing like the flat, water-heavy courses that define much of Florida golf. Its rolling terrain and densely wooded holes feel closer to something you'd find in the Carolinas than on the Gulf Coast.
Innisbrook sits in Palm Harbor, a community on the Pinellas Peninsula between Tampa and Clearwater, and the resort has been a cornerstone of the region's golf identity since the late 1960s. The property spreads across several hundred acres and offers multiple courses beyond Copperhead, giving guests options that range from serious championship tests to more relaxed rounds.
For visiting golfers, the appeal is access — a chance to walk a genuine Tour venue, not just a course that borrows the language of one.
