Four Peaks Golf Club opened this Mike Dasher–designed layout in 2015 as the centerpiece of the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, and the name says something about the intention: Tranquilo isn't trying to intimidate. It was built to offer resort guests — families, mixed-ability groups, visitors squeezing in a round between theme-park days — a genuinely enjoyable Florida round rather than a punishing one.
The course plays through the wetlands and woodlands typical of Central Florida's lake-dotted interior, with water features, native grasses, and the kind of subtropical landscaping that softens the heat and gives each hole a distinct frame. Orlando's year-round warmth makes it a 365-day operation, though summer afternoons bring the predictable afternoon thunderstorms that chase players off courses across the region.
As a resort course, Tranquilo rewards a relaxed approach — strategic enough to engage better players, but forgiving enough that a vacation round doesn't turn into a survival exercise. The Four Seasons setting adds a level of service and presentation you won't find at most resort layouts in a market that has no shortage of them.
