Lewiston Golf & Country Club has been a cornerstone of the local golf community for generations, occupying a stretch of terrain in one of Idaho's most geographically distinctive cities. Lewiston sits at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers — the lowest elevation point in Idaho — which gives the area a notably mild, semi-arid climate compared to the rest of the state. That means a longer playing season than most Idaho courses can offer, with relatively dry summers and moderate winters that keep the course accessible well into the fall.
The Snake River Canyon country shapes the landscape here: rolling terrain, open skies, and the kind of wide-horizoned scenery that makes the Pacific Northwest's interior feel nothing like what outsiders expect. Lewiston and its Washington neighbor Clarkston form a tight-knit golf community, and a private club of this standing carries real social and competitive weight in that scene.
As a members-only club, Lewiston G&CC operates as a proper community institution — the sort of place where regulars know every bounce and subtle break, and where belonging matters as much as the game itself.
