Few golf settings along the German Baltic coast carry the atmosphere of Golfplatz Warnemünde, which sits in the flat, wind-swept landscape just inland from the resort town of Warnemünde — one of the most storied seaside destinations in northern Germany. The course occupies the sandy, heathland-influenced terrain of Elmenhorst, where the Baltic's prevailing winds make club selection a constant puzzle and scoring demands respect rather than aggression.
Warnemünde itself has been a beloved summer escape since the 19th century, drawing visitors to its long white-sand beach, the Teepott landmark, and the busy mouth of the Warnow River. That same unhurried, breezy character carries onto the golf course. The layout plays through open ground with relatively few trees to shelter you, so the sky feels enormous and the wind rarely lets you forget you are close to the sea.
For visiting players, this is a genuinely regional experience — a chance to play golf in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's quiet countryside while Rostock and the Baltic shore sit just minutes away.
