Ronneby Golfklubb sits in the heart of Blekinge, a province in southeastern Sweden that earns its nickname — "Sweden's garden" — through its mild climate, dense forest, and an unusually lush landscape for Scandinavian standards. The course occupies terrain shaped by the same rolling, wooded countryside that defines the region, with holes that move through stands of pine and birch and reward players who work the ball both ways off the tee. It is the kind of setting where the environment does as much work as the architecture.
Blekinge's golf scene is modest in scale but genuine in character, the sort of region where clubs maintain a strong local identity and member culture. Ronneby itself is one of Sweden's older spa towns, historically known for the mineral springs at Brunnsparken, and that quiet, unhurried quality carries through to the club.
For visiting golfers, this is straightforwardly good regional Swedish golf — well-maintained, honest in its demands, and set in a corner of the country that most international travelers overlook entirely, which is part of the appeal.
