Georgetown sits in Halton Hills, part of the greenbelt country west of Toronto where the land starts to roll and the Credit River watershed carves the landscape into something more interesting than the flat suburban sprawl to the east. It's solid Southern Ontario golf territory — four genuine seasons, firm fairways by midsummer, and fall rounds that rank among the best in the province when the hardwood colour comes in.

Eagle Ridge reads as a private or semi-private club-style layout built to take advantage of that terrain, and a par 70 signals a design that either trades length for precision or leans hard on a pair of par 3s where most courses would slot in par 4s. Either way, it tends to reward ball-strikers who work the ball rather than those who simply overpower a course.

Georgetown itself has a modest but genuine local golf culture, close enough to the GTA that members have options, but far enough out that courses here tend to develop a real community identity rather than functioning purely as resort or corporate amenities.
