Kokkedal Golfklub occupies the grounds of the historic Kokkedal Estate in Hørsholm, a town about 25 kilometers north of Copenhagen along the Øresund coast. The club plays across a mature, parkland landscape shaped by the estate's centuries-old trees, gentle undulations, and the kind of quiet, aristocratic atmosphere that northern Zealand does particularly well. It is one of the more established clubs in the greater Copenhagen golf corridor, a stretch of the Danish capital region that supports a surprisingly dense concentration of serious courses.
The layout rewards patience and course management over raw power — tree-lined fairways demand accuracy off the tee, and the parkland setting means conditions can vary considerably with the seasons, from firm and fast in a Danish summer to soft and demanding through the long shoulder months.
Hørsholm itself sits in one of the wealthiest and most historically rich parts of Denmark, and Kokkedal reflects that setting: well-maintained, quietly traditional, and built around a genuine sense of place rather than manufactured spectacle.
