Golf du Baganais

Few Atlantic resort towns in France have reinvented themselves as thoroughly as Lacanau. Once purely a surf destination straddling a vast freshwater lake and the ocean, it has quietly built a credible golf identity on the back of its pine-forest landscape — and Golf du Baganais is the course at the center of that story.

The course winds through the flat, sandy terrain of the Landes de Gascogne, the vast planted pine forest that blankets much of coastal Gironde.
