Mill Creek Golf Course sits inside one of the most celebrated public parks in the American Midwest. Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio — just minutes from Boardman — is a National Natural Landmark spanning thousands of acres, and the golf operation within it carries that same civic spirit: accessible, unpretentious, and rooted in the community it serves.
The South Course is the more compact of the two layouts the park offers, playing to a par 70 that rewards accuracy and course management over raw distance. That shorter par invites players to take on the round as a test of ball-striking and positioning rather than power, which suits the wooded, rolling terrain of the Mahoning Valley. Mature hardwoods, creek corridors, and the natural contours of the park give the layout a setting most purely public courses can't match.
Northeast Ohio has a loyal and unpretentious golf culture — players who take the game seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Mill Creek fits that identity well, offering genuine parkland golf in a setting that earns its reputation on its own terms.
