Bali Hai Golf Club

Few golf courses in the world carry as much visual drama as Bali Hai, sitting right on the Las Vegas Strip itself — one of the only courses in America where you tee off within sight of major casino towers. Designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley of Schmidt-Curley Design and opened in 2000, it was built to evoke a South Pacific tropical escape amid the Nevada desert, a deliberate fantasy complete with 2,500 tropical plants, white sand beaches, and lagoon-style water features surrounding nearly every hole. The contrast between swaying palms and the neon skyline behind them is genuinely surreal.

The course plays as a resort layout aimed squarely at the visiting golfer — memorable, visually spectacular, and demanding enough to entertain without punishing the occasional player who's here for the experience as much as the score.

Las Vegas has a surprisingly robust golf scene spread across the valley, but Bali Hai occupies a unique niche: it's the one course that doubles as a Strip attraction in its own right, where the setting is as much the point as the golf itself.
