Brianza is the hilly, forested wedge of Lombardy that stretches north from Milan toward the foothills of the Alps, and Golf Club Brianza sits comfortably within that landscape — a region that has quietly supported a serious golf culture for decades, with several well-regarded private clubs making use of the area's natural contours and mature woodland.
Usmate Velate is a small comune in the Monza e Brianza province, close enough to Milan that the club draws a metropolitan membership while feeling genuinely removed from the city. The terrain here is characteristically Brianzolo: rolling drumlins shaped by ancient glacial activity, dense stands of oak and chestnut, and a green, almost parkland softness that persists through much of the year. A par 72 layout over 18 holes suits the land well, rewarding players who work the slopes rather than fight them.
As a private members' club in one of northern Italy's most prosperous provinces, Golf Club Brianza carries the understated formality typical of Lombard golf — serious about the game, proud of its setting, and unhurried in the way that a course embedded in genuine countryside tends to be.
