Mid-Pacific Country Club occupies one of the most coveted slices of real estate in Hawaiian golf — the windward side of Oahu, where the Ko'olau Range rises dramatically behind Kailua and the trade winds blow with purpose. Founded in 1926, it is among the oldest private clubs in Hawaii, carrying nearly a century of island golf history and a membership culture that reflects the tight-knit community of this corner of Oahu.
The course plays through terrain shaped by volcanic geology and lush tropical vegetation, with the green Ko'olau peaks providing a backdrop that few mainland courses could dream of matching. Those persistent trade winds are not decorative — they reshape every club selection and demand a kind of creative, adaptive ball-striking that distinguishes windward Oahu golf from virtually anything else in the sport.
Kailua itself sits across the Pali from Honolulu, separated enough to feel unhurried and genuinely local. Mid-Pacific has long been a club where island families put down roots across generations — less a resort showpiece than a place with real belonging.
