Few courses in Ontario carry the quiet prestige of Caledon Country Club, a private members' retreat set in the rolling hills of Caledon Township — one of the most scenically dramatic stretches of land within reach of Toronto. The surrounding landscape is defined by the Niagara Escarpment and the Credit River valley, terrain that gives golf courses here a character entirely unlike the flat lakeside layouts that dominate much of the Greater Toronto Area.
Caledon's par 70 signals a course that prizes precision and strategy over raw length. Shorter par configurations tend to demand tighter ball-striking, and in hill country like this, elevation changes and natural contours typically do much of the defending that extra yardage would elsewhere. The membership-only model means the course is kept in condition for a community of regulars rather than heavy public traffic.
Inglewood itself is a small village with a decidedly rural feel, sitting along the Credit River corridor in a region known for equestrian estates, conservation land, and an unhurried pace — qualities that carry over naturally to the golf here.
