Tsumeb Golf Course

Few towns in southern Africa carry as much geological mystique as Tsumeb. Sitting at the northern edge of Namibia's central plateau, the town built its identity around one of the world's most mineralogically complex ore deposits — a mine that yielded dozens of minerals found nowhere else on earth. That industrial heritage shapes the character of the place, a working town rather than a tourist stop, which makes its golf course something of a local institution rather than a destination product.

The course itself sits in the semi-arid bushveld that defines this part of Namibia, where the vegetation shifts from the open Kalahari scrub to slightly denser thornbush.
