Kokkedal Golfklub occupies the grounds of the historic Kokkedal Gods estate in Hørsholm, roughly 25 kilometers north of Copenhagen along the Øresund coast. The course winds through the estate's mature woodland and across open parkland, with centuries-old trees framing many of the holes and the manor house providing an unmistakable sense of place. It is among the more established clubs in the greater Copenhagen golf belt — a corridor of well-regarded courses that benefits from the relatively mild maritime climate of North Zealand.
The layout rewards precision over power. Tall beeches and oaks tighten the landing zones on several holes, and the mix of sheltered woodland corridors and more exposed parkland stretches means conditions can shift noticeably from one part of the course to another. Golfers who grew up playing here tend to develop a careful, thinking game.
Hørsholm itself is an affluent commuter town with a strong sporting tradition, and the club reflects that character — well-maintained, serious about the game, and deeply rooted in its corner of the Danish countryside.
