Glacier Greens sits on the eastern side of Vancouver Island, in the semi-rural community of Lazo just outside Comox. The Comox Valley is one of the most quietly underrated pockets of golf in British Columbia — a region sheltered by the Vancouver Island Ranges that enjoys a climate measurably drier and sunnier than much of the coast, which means longer seasons and firm, fast-running turf conditions that Interior golfers sometimes don't expect to find this close to the ocean.
The course takes its name from the glacial history written all over this landscape — the Comox Valley was carved and shaped by ice age movement, and the terrain reflects that in its natural undulations and the views it occasionally opens up toward the Beaufort Mountains and Comox Glacier itself, the iconic snowfield that defines the valley's skyline.
As a public facility in a community-minded region, Glacier Greens serves the everyday golfer on Vancouver Island's north end. The par-71 layout suits a range of players, and the area's relaxed pace makes it a natural stop whether you're a local regular or passing through the valley.
