Keesler Air Force Base sits at the edge of Biloxi, right where the Gulf Coast bends toward Mississippi's barrier islands — one of the more distinctive addresses in American military golf. Bay Breeze shares that coastal identity, playing across terrain shaped by the same salt air and subtropical climate that defines this stretch of the Gulf South. The region has rebuilt itself more than once from hurricane damage, and courses here carry that resilience as part of their character.
As a military installation course, Bay Breeze exists primarily to serve the airmen, families, and personnel stationed at one of the Air Force's largest technical training bases. That mission shapes the atmosphere — accessible, unpretentious, and oriented toward getting people on the course rather than impressing them with ceremony.
The par-71 layout, a touch shorter by design than a standard par-72 track, likely reflects a course that rewards placement and control over raw distance. Along the Gulf Coast, afternoon wind off the water has a way of making any number on a scorecard feel negotiable.
