Antler Creek opened in 2003 on the high plains east of Colorado Springs, occupying the rolling terrain that defines the Falcon and Peyton corridor — a stretch of Elbert County rangeland where the Rockies loom dramatically to the west and the prairie stretches endlessly in every other direction. Designed by Rick Phelps, the course works with the natural contours of the land rather than against them, routing fairways through draws and over gentle ridges in a style that feels genuinely indigenous to the Front Range. The views of Pikes Peak from multiple points on the course are among the more arresting backdrops available to golfers anywhere on the Colorado plains.
The course has established itself as one of the stronger daily-fee options along the eastern edge of the Colorado Springs metro area, drawing players who want a serious test in an unhurried, open-sky setting without driving into the city.
At elevation — sitting above 6,800 feet — expect the ball to fly farther than the yardage markers suggest, and plan for afternoon winds that can fundamentally change which club belongs in your hand.
