진양밸리GC sits in Eumseong County, a rural district in the heart of Chungcheongbuk-do — South Korea's only landlocked province, where rolling agricultural plains give way to the wooded ridgelines of the Sobaek Mountain range. The surrounding countryside is unhurried and largely undiscovered by international visitors, making this kind of regional private-style venue a genuine local institution rather than a destination resort.
Chungcheongbuk-do has quietly built a solid golf infrastructure over the past two decades, with courses taking advantage of the province's varied topography — forested hillsides, river valleys, and open farmland — to create layouts that feel distinctly Korean in their use of dramatic elevation change and tight tree corridors. Courses in this region tend to reward shot-shaping and course management over raw distance, with mountain-influenced terrain keeping flat lies at a premium.
Eumseong itself sits along the Jungang Expressway corridor between Chungju and Cheongju, making the club accessible to golfers coming from both cities as well as Seoul to the north, roughly 2 hours away by car.
