Karlovy Vary is one of Central Europe's most storied spa towns, a UNESCO-listed destination in western Bohemia where ornate 19th-century colonnades line a river valley and thermal springs have drawn European aristocracy for centuries. The town sits close to the German border in a landscape of forested hills and steep-sided valleys — terrain that gives any golf laid out here a natural drama that flat parkland simply cannot replicate.
The "Racing Club" element of this course's identity is the telling detail: the layout shares its grounds with a motorsport circuit, a combination that is genuinely unusual in golf and gives the property an energy and character unlike a conventional country club. That dual-use setting shapes how the course sits on the land — open in some stretches, bounded and purposeful in others.
Golf in the Czech Republic has grown steadily since the 1990s, and the Karlovy Vary region, already a magnet for visitors from Germany, Russia, and across Europe, makes a natural stop for traveling golfers. The spa-town atmosphere means there is plenty to do beyond the round itself, and the course draws a relaxed, international crowd rather than a purely local membership.
