Club de Golf Quilquico

Few golf experiences in South America place you so completely inside a working landscape. Quilquico sits on Chiloé Island, the large, rain-softened archipelago off Chile's Los Lagos coast, where the natural world runs on its own terms — tidal estuaries, native tepú and tiaca forest, and skies that shift without warning. The course occupies farmland on the island's eastern shore, with views across the Canal de Chacao toward the mainland cordillera, and the atmosphere is less manicured resort than honest rural club.

Castro itself is the island's capital and one of Chile's oldest continuously inhabited cities, famous for its palafitos — the brightly painted stilt houses rising from the harbor — and for a culture that has quietly resisted homogenization for centuries. Playing here feels like a privilege granted by the place, not a transaction.
