Nøtterøy golfklubb sits on the island of Nøtterøy, connected by bridge to Tønsberg — one of the oldest towns in Norway and a place with deep Viking-era roots. The club occupies terrain typical of this stretch of the Vestfold coastline: rolling, glacier-smoothed landscape with glimpses of the Oslofjord, a pastoral setting that gives the course a calm, unhurried character. Summers here are mild and long by Scandinavian standards, and the fjord light in the evening hours makes for genuinely memorable rounds.
The club is a solid regional member club serving the communities of Nøtterøy and nearby Tjøme, part of a well-established Norwegian golf culture that has grown substantially since the 1980s. Vestfold as a county punches above its weight in Norwegian golf, with a concentration of clubs benefiting from the region's relatively forgiving coastal climate and strong local interest in the game.
Expect a welcoming members' atmosphere and a layout that rewards course management over raw power — the kind of place where local knowledge matters, and where the surroundings do as much work as the holes themselves.
