Möre Golfklubb sits on the southeastern fringe of Småland, in the quiet coastal parish of Söderåkra just south of Kalmar. This is a corner of Sweden where the land flattens toward the Baltic, farmland giving way to pine stands and the occasional inlet, and the light in summer takes on that particular Scandinavian quality — long, low, and golden well into the evening. The club draws from the communities along the Kalmar Sound, with Kalmar city itself close enough to supply a steady membership while the course retains a genuinely rural character.
The layout suits that setting: open enough in stretches to catch the coastal wind that rolls in from the Sound, with tree-lined corridors offering contrast and shelter. Möre plays as a solid, honest members' club track — the kind of course where conditions matter, local knowledge rewards returning visitors, and the golf feels purposeful rather than theatrical.
Kalmar is one of Sweden's more historically rich cities, home to Kalmar Castle and the site of the famous 1397 union, and the region carries that unhurried, substantive character. A round at Möre fits the same tone.
