Established in the early 1970s on the northern outskirts of Madrid, the club grew alongside one of Spain's most exclusive residential developments — the La Moraleja urbanización — and quickly became the home course of the country's business and political elite. The property eventually expanded to host multiple layouts, with the flagship courses designed and refined over the decades to meet championship standards. La Moraleja has welcomed the Spanish Open on several occasions, cementing its standing as one of the Iberian peninsula's most prestigious venues.

The courses occupy a mature parkland setting on the Castilian meseta, where stone pines and holm oaks define the corridors and provide genuine strategic interest.
