Valle Arriba is one of Caracas's most storied private clubs, a course whose history is woven into the social and sporting fabric of Venezuelan golf. Sitting within the Valle Arriba neighborhood — one of the capital's more exclusive eastern districts — the club has long served as a gathering place for the city's golf community, and its membership carries real pride in the place.
Caracas itself sits at roughly 900 meters above sea level in a valley carved by the Ávila mountain range, and that elevation shapes how the course plays: the air is thinner and drier than a coastal layout, ball flight carries, and the surrounding peaks give the property a dramatic visual backdrop that no scorecard can communicate. The climate is famously temperate year-round, which makes this one of the more comfortable places to play golf anywhere in South America.
At par 70, Valle Arriba doesn't try to overpower golfers with length — the design rewards precision and course management over raw distance. For a visitor, it represents a genuine window into Venezuelan golf culture and the distinct personality of a capital-city members' club.
