Johnny Miller designed Thanksgiving Point Golf Club, which opened in 1997 as part of the larger Thanksgiving Point development — a sprawling complex of gardens, museums, and event venues along the Wasatch Front. Miller brought the same ambitious thinking to the layout that defined his playing career, routing the course through dramatic terrain with wide fairways, bold bunkering, and greens that reward precision. It quickly earned a reputation as one of Utah's premier public-access venues, with the Wasatch Range providing a backdrop that changes character with every season.
Lehi sits at the northern end of Utah County, where the valley floor opens up between the Oquirrh Mountains to the west and the Wasatch to the east. The elevation and semi-arid climate keep the turf firm and fast for much of the season, and the afternoon light here — particularly in autumn — is genuinely striking.
The course plays as a full championship test, long enough to challenge serious players while remaining enjoyable for a wide range of handicaps. Its public nature and well-maintained conditions have made it a go-to destination for golfers across the Salt Lake City and Provo corridor.
