Few golf courses on earth ask quite what Lofoten Golf Links asks of its players: concentrate on your swing while one of the most dramatic Arctic landscapes imaginable unfolds in every direction. Built on a narrow strip of sand and links land at Gimsøysand, the course sits within the Lofoten archipelago of northern Norway, where jagged peaks rise directly from the sea and the light itself seems to operate by different rules — flat and grey one hour, then burning gold the next.
Lofoten Golf Links lies well above the Arctic Circle, which means the famous midnight sun keeps the course technically playable around the clock in midsummer. The terrain is genuine links land, with coastal winds that shift constantly and make club selection genuinely unpredictable. This is not a course where you manufacture a score — the conditions dictate the conversation.
The surrounding region draws visitors for its fishing villages, dramatic fjord scenery, and the Northern Lights in winter. The golf here is an extension of that same spirit: wild, unhurried, and thoroughly Norwegian.
