Warm Springs Golf Course takes its name from the historic thermal springs that once made this stretch of east Boise famous — the same geothermal activity that fed the city's early bathhouses and gave the surrounding neighborhood its distinctive character. The course sits along the Boise River corridor, where the high desert meets a surprisingly lush riparian landscape, and that contrast defines the experience: wide skies and dry hills in the distance, mature cottonwoods and willows lining the terrain closer in.
As one of Boise's established municipal tracks, Warm Springs has long served as a community anchor — the kind of place where junior programs take root and regulars carry decades of local knowledge about where the ball feeds and where it doesn't. It plays to a full par 72, offering enough variety to reward shotmaking without turning away the everyday golfer.
Boise's high-desert climate means firm, fast conditions through much of the season, with genuinely pleasant fall and spring windows that locals tend to guard jealously. If you're passing through Idaho's capital, this is where the city actually plays golf.
