Few settings in Argentine golf match the particular atmosphere of Tigre, where the Paraná Delta spills into a vast web of waterways, islands, and wetland vegetation just north of Buenos Aires. Nordelta sits within the large planned community of the same name, a development that transformed this corner of the delta into one of the country's most ambitious residential projects over the past few decades. Golf here is inseparable from that watery landscape — the terrain is flat, as the delta demands, but the presence of water defines the visual character of virtually every round.
Argentine golf has a quietly serious tradition, shaped in part by the country's deep British immigrant roots, and the Buenos Aires province supports a dense and competitive club scene. A course at Tigre benefits from the mild Pampean climate, where summers are warm and humid and winters rarely severe enough to close a course for long.
As a private club within a master-planned community, Nordelta caters to a membership drawn largely from the surrounding residential neighborhoods — a round here comes with that particular sense of playing on familiar, well-tended home ground.
