Sioux Narrows sits on a thin strip of land between two bays of Lake of the Woods in northwestern Ontario — one of Canada's most storied fishing and cottage country destinations, where the Canadian Shield breaks into thousands of islands and the water seems to outnumber the land. It's a remote, genuinely wild corner of the province, and White Moose Golf Course fits that character entirely: a short recreational layout built not for competitive glory but for the particular pleasure of swinging a club somewhere beautiful and far from ordinary.
Lake of the Woods draws visitors who come for the fishing, the boating, and the kind of unhurried summer pace that's increasingly hard to find. A round at White Moose belongs to that same rhythm — the course caters to cottagers, resort guests, and anyone passing through on the Trans-Canada corridor who wants to stretch their game between the trees and the rock outcroppings that define this part of Ontario.
Expect a relaxed, unpretentious experience where the scenery does a lot of the heavy lifting. This is recreational golf at its most honest.
