Saint-Pacôme is a small municipality in the Kamouraska region of eastern Quebec, situated along the south shore of the St. Lawrence River where the landscape opens into a broad, agricultural valley backed by the rolling hills of the Appalachian foothills. It is genuinely rural golf country — the kind of place where courses reflect the community rather than a resort economy, and where the surrounding scenery does much of the heavy lifting.
Club de Golf St-Pacôme is a local, member-driven club rooted in that regional tradition. Courses in the Kamouraska and Bas-Saint-Laurent area tend to be unpretentious and seasonal, shaped by terrain that moves naturally and framed by a mix of farmland, forest, and distant river views. The St. Lawrence corridor brings cool summers and a short but intense golf season, which tends to concentrate a loyal membership and a strong social culture around the game.
For visitors passing through the region — perhaps along the scenic Route 132 that traces the south shore — this kind of club offers a genuine, unhurried round away from crowded resort layouts, with the character of rural Quebec very much present throughout.
