Few settings in the American Northeast place you quite so literally above it all. Top of the World sits on the ridgeline above Lake George in the Adirondack foothills, and the name isn't marketing — the elevation delivers panoramic views across one of New York's most celebrated lakes, its islands and surrounding peaks stretching out in every direction depending on where you stand on the property.
Lake George itself has been a tourist and outdoor recreation destination since the 19th century, drawing visitors to its exceptionally clear glacial waters and the wooded hills that frame it. Golf up here plays differently than it does in the valleys — the mountain air, the undulating terrain, and the seasonal drama of Adirondack foliage in autumn all contribute to a round that's as much about the surroundings as the scorecard. The par-71 layout uses the natural contours of the ridge rather than working against them.
As a resort course, the primary audience is visitors already up in this corner of Warren County for the lake and the landscape — the golf is the ideal complement to that wider experience.
