Bangkok Golf Club

Bangkok Golf Club occupies a stretch of flat central-plains terrain in Pathum Thani province, just north of Bangkok along the Chao Phraya basin. The club is one of the older established layouts in the greater Bangkok metropolitan area, a region that transformed into one of Southeast Asia's most golf-dense landscapes during Thailand's rapid development boom of the 1980s and 1990s. That era produced dozens of courses within striking distance of the capital, and Bangkok Golf Club emerged as a serious, member-focused layout rather than a resort showpiece.

The course plays through mature tropical vegetation with the lush, year-round green that the central plains' humid climate reliably delivers. Water features prominently, as it does on virtually every course built on this low-lying alluvial land — irrigation canals and ponds are as much strategic hazards as they are practical necessities. The conditions reward straight, managed ball-striking over raw power.

Pathum Thani itself sits roughly 40 kilometers north of the city center, accessible via expressway and making the club a genuine commuter-friendly escape for Bangkok's large and enthusiastic golfing community, who treat weekday morning tee times here as a well-worn ritual.
