Nullarbor Links - Nullarbor Nymph

Few golf experiences on earth are as genuinely strange and wonderful as Nullarbor Links, the world's longest golf course stretching roughly 1,365 kilometres along the Eyre Highway between Kalgoorlie and Ceduna. The Nullarbor Nymph hole at Eucla is one of the course's 18 par-3s, each located at a different roadhouse or township along the highway — meaning a complete round takes several days and a car. Named after the famous 1970s hoax in which locals convinced journalists they had spotted a feral woman living among kangaroos near Eucla, this hole carries a distinctly Australian sense of humour alongside its dramatic setting.

Eucla sits near the Western Australian and South Australian border, perched above the Bight on the edge of one of the world's great flat wildernesses. The old telegraph station ruins and encroaching sand dunes are nearby, lending the town an atmosphere of remote, sun-bleached history.

Playing here means taking a swing on the vast limestone plain with almost nothing in any direction — no gallery, no clubhouse, just spinifex, sky, and the highway behind you.
