Lisbon Sports Club

Few golf clubs in Portugal carry the historical weight of Lisbon Sports Club. Founded in 1922 by the British expatriate community — a pattern repeated across Iberia wherever the English went and brought their sporting habits — it stands as one of the oldest clubs in the country, and its blend of colonial-era tradition and Portuguese landscape gives it a character unlike anything built in the modern resort era.

The course sits in the Belas area northwest of Lisbon, in the foothills of the Serra de Sintra, where the terrain rolls and the light has that particular Atlantic-softened quality that makes the Lisbon region so distinctive.
