Few places in American golf offer the sensory overload of playing along the Emerald Coast. Destin sits on a narrow strip of Florida Panhandle real estate between the Gulf of Mexico and Choctawhatchee Bay, where the water runs that improbable shade of green-blue and the sugar-white sand makes you wonder briefly if you've wandered onto a beach rather than a fairway. Golf here competes hard with fishing, boating, and everything else that draws visitors to one of Florida's most concentrated resort corridors.
Seascape Resort is very much a product of that vacation-destination landscape — the kind of course designed to complement a broader holiday experience rather than exist as a standalone pilgrimage site. Expect a layout that accommodates a wide range of abilities, from serious golfers filling a morning before an afternoon on the water to families working through the round at their own pace.
The Panhandle's Gulf-side courses tend to play through flat, sandy terrain with coastal winds that can shift conditions meaningfully from one day to the next — making club selection more interesting than the topography alone might suggest.
