Oneida Golf & Country Club occupies a significant place in the Green Bay golf landscape — this is one of the older private clubs in northeastern Wisconsin, carrying the kind of institutional weight that comes from decades of serving a tight-knit membership in a city that takes its sporting traditions seriously. The club draws its name from the Oneida Nation, whose reservation lies just west of Green Bay, grounding the course in the deep cultural and geographic history of this corner of the state.
The terrain here is classic upper Midwest — relatively flat glacial ground softened by mature tree lines, with the season running hard from May through October before Lake Michigan's influence and the northern latitude bring the cold down for good. That compressed playing window gives the membership a particular urgency and affection for the course that resort golfers rarely develop.
