Crescent Bar Resort sits along the Columbia River in the channeled scablands of central Washington, where the high desert plateau breaks open into dramatic basalt canyon country. The gorge walls rise sharply from the water's edge, and the resort itself occupies a narrow peninsula of land carved by the river — a setting that looks more like the American Southwest than the Pacific Northwest most golfers picture when they think of Washington State.
The course plays as part of a broader resort complex on that riverside strip, where water recreation and golf share the same compressed geography. A par 70 layout suggests a design built to work within real estate constraints rather than chase length, and in terrain this tight and scenic, that tradeoff tends to produce a routing with personality — forced decisions, elevation shifts, and views that compete for your attention at every turn.
Quincy itself sits in the Columbia Basin, an agricultural region transformed by irrigation into one of Washington's most productive growing areas. The surrounding landscape is stark and open, the sky enormous, and the river a constant presence — conditions that make for golf unlike anything you'd find west of the Cascades.
