Few courses in the Mid-Atlantic carry the reputation Galloway National does. Designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 1995, this private club sits in the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey — one of the more distinctive landscapes in American golf, where sandy soil, scrub oak, and pitch pine create a setting that feels genuinely remote despite being minutes from Atlantic City. Fazio shaped the terrain into a course that rewards precision over raw power, with generous fairways that tighten considerably as you approach well-guarded greens.
The Pine Barrens ecosystem gives Galloway National a character all its own — fast-draining sandy turf, firm and fast playing conditions, and a visual palette of rust-colored pine straw and low-slung vegetation that frames nearly every shot.
