Golf Resort Barbora occupies the Bohemian countryside of the Ústí nad Labem region in northwestern Czechia, a landscape shaped by rolling hills, mixed forest, and the broader cultural geography of the Ore Mountains foothills. The resort takes its name from Lake Barbora, a striking body of water that was itself created by the flooding of a former brown-coal mine — a transformation that turned an industrial scar into something genuinely beautiful, and that spirit of reinvention carries through to the golf course built around it.
The layout weaves through varied terrain, with the lake providing both a dramatic visual backdrop and a genuine strategic hazard on several holes. The combination of wooded corridors and open lakeside exposures gives the round a pleasingly changeable character — sheltered in places, exposed and windswept in others.
For visiting golfers, Barbora functions as a full resort destination, with accommodation and facilities on site, making it a natural base for exploring Czech golf more broadly. The region sits within easy reach of Prague and Dresden, giving the course a genuinely international draw that belies its relatively quiet location.
