Campo de Golf Río Real

Few courses in Spain carry the pedigree of Río Real. Designed by Javier Arana — widely regarded as the father of modern Spanish golf course architecture — and opened in 1960, it stands as one of the Costa del Sol's foundational layouts. Arana's fingerprints are unmistakable: strategic bunkering, fairways that demand thought over brute force, and a routing that works with the land rather than against it. The Río Real river winds through the property and comes into play on several holes, giving the course its name and some of its most memorable moments.
